Study FTIR and AC Conductivity of Nanocomposite Electrolytes

In the present work polymer electrolytes were formulated using solvent casting technique. Under special conditions, electrolyte content was of fixed ratio polyvinylpyrolidone (PVP): polyacrylonitrile (PAN) (25:75), ethylene carbonate (EC) and propylene (PC) (1:1) with 10% potassium iodide (KI) iodine I2 = by weight KI. The conductivity increased addition ZnO nanoparticles. It is also temperature increase within range (293 to 343 K). reaches maximum value about (0.0296 S.cm-1) (0.25 g) ZnO. results FTIR for blend indicated a significant degree interaction between (PVP PAN) KI salt. From observations nanocomposites, broad peak became narrower after adding nanoparticle dielectric reaction decreased frequency at room temperature. high permittivity lower frequencies can be attributed dipoles having sufficient time get aligned electric field, resulting in higher polarization.
